Tomorrow i can bring to the Tilburg fair some MSX items:

  • A copy of the MSX Info pages on CD
  • A copy of the MSx BIOS 1 listing by ASCII (over 300 pages)
  • Any of the items for sale in the Trades and Sales section

See the www.msxhans.msx2.com Trades and Sales section.

I have made several people a bit happier i hope with the BIOS listing and the site CD last saturday!.

I considered already for several time the Tilbeurs to be the end of en era for my website activities and therefore made lots of efforts the last weeks to enhance the site and 'finish' it.
Now i freeze the site for a longer time and also stop making cd' s of it. My hobby time is from now on dedicated to my other projects as photo and video editing (remember, the NMS8280 was the heart of my video editing equipment) and many other projects. I will probably only be active in a quite passive way in the MSX online world.

Have fun,

Hans

Too bad you're freezing the info pages... Who's going to supply new scanned manuals now ?

Anyway. good luck and fun with your other hobbies.

Could you explain this?
Aside from the bad organisation, the fair itself was a good indication of the raising interest in MSX as a whole, and hardware and software development. The 'hard-core' MSX-scene is growing again, and your website is a great resource for developers worldwide.
I do not see the logic in quitting...

The year started well: the site and my MSX collection has grown. But enough is enough. The nasty things continue.
I will stop adding to the website, i do not visit the irc channel #msx anymore and i am not allowed/do not want to visit #msxdev by the 'guy'.

What nasty things are you referring to? The way you say 'omg' and /quit IRC whenever I'm around or say 'hi'? The fact that you subscribed me to several SPAM lists? (Don't deny it, I have proof)
If you wanna quit something, quit making a fool of yourself!

Nice, Hans. Do you always need to bash people (this time in the History section)? I once again get the feeling this is your 'answer' to when -this time- Guyver confronted you with the fact that you subscribed his email address to spam services. You keep doing strange things like that (subscribing to spam addresses, c'mon!), and always pull down or stop working on the MSX Info pages when you get angry and things don't go your way, or if you get driven into a corner.

And then you hope everyone will think 'oh it's that Guyver again who is the cause of this great site getting such a sad ending', because you can't leave it at the fact that it is YOUR misbehaviour which caused this, and you always have to point fingers to someone else in some small section of your site. As I said before, I think this is inappropriate, an infomation site should be independant and not suffer from one's personal feelings. This goes for the MAP, I will never say 'I will quit the MAP because I don't like what HansO says about me', and msx.org too, even though you insulted them in such a way that they really don't want to have anything to do with you, they still faithfully have been reporting your site updates.

At first I gladly wanted to believe it was coincidence that this happened soon after Guyver talked to you, and that there was truth in the 'was planning to stop updating it anyways', but now I saw the history section, I don't buy that anymore. This is once again the same what happened before, instead of denying to Guyver that you sent him spam (which you apparantly couldn't because it wasn't true, and Guyver has proof of that) you do stuff like this, which is ofcourse the only response you can think of aside from trying to blatantly lie your way out.

I for one am glad that I have made regular backups of your site's contents after I realized that the existence of your side was depending on your mood, so at least the content is safe. And it's a relief that (hopefully) you are now permanently out of the scene, because I think it's quite hypocrite that after all you did to msx.org, TNI (and Guyver in particular), and the entire #msx and #msxdev IRC channel's MSX community, you can still show your face around and people talk to you as if nothing happened. The nasty words you put in the disclaimer previously disappeared slowly (first they were put a number of lines lower so that they weren't immediately visible, and after some time they disappeared at all), and you started to visit #msx again, acting as if nothing happened. Please don't do that again, because I'm fed up with all this mess and will certainly not even try to be friendly to you anymore.

p.s. not visiting #msx anymore ALSO includes not visiting with the webchat under a false nickname.
Please do as you promised.
