Ok, it took some extra time to prepare the fourth round in the Best MSX1 game ever mega-poll. Only 32 games left. Some interesting things happened: Knightmare managed to get a 100% score over 2 rounds, but in the third 6 people preferred Dragon Slayer 4 over Knightmare. Still, this classic is on to the next round, something which can not be said about Nemesis 2 (sorry Konamiman!), which was beaten by the clock - and Kings Valley 2. However, all other games in the Nemesis (Gradius, if you like) saga are still in the game. We also had to say goodbye to underdog-favorite La abadia del Crimen. Konami is still going strong. 23 out of 32 games in round 4 are Konami games.

Whether or not your favorite games move on to round 5 of the best MSX1 game ever megapoll is in YOUR hands. After round 5, there is only one more round to go of selecting like this. The remaining 4 games will battle on a frontpage poll.

I can't understand why Nemesis 2 didn't make it to this round, this system is definitely unfair. There are still some great games though.

Well, the system is about as fair as can be. All lists are generated randomly by using the RAND() function in Excel. This can result in two very popular games battling each other in a very early stage of the poll (this could even have happened in round #1). However, although I admit it was close, more people preferred Kings Valley 2 over Nemesis 2. Which means that in the end, Kings Valley would win over Nemesis 2 anyway, so Kings Valley 2 moves on and Nemesis 2 doesn't. Of course its better if more people vote. In the previous rounds, we always let some nearly-won-games slip through. This time we were very strict.

The possibility of two TITANS excluding each other from moving on to the next round could be avoided by making two randomly generated lists out of every round. However, it would not matter in most cases and it should not matter for the final results (the one and only very best MSX1 game ever). Besides, it would probably only result in less people voting (especially in the first rounds).

However, since we plan to do at least one more mega-poll in the future (you can suggest them here), we're always open for suggestions )

That's the problem ! It's really not logic that Nemesis 1 has passed to round 4 and Nemesis 2 has failed to pass to this round ! And I could take another examples, but this example is very illustrative : this procedure is really unjust, why not ask to each user his TOP 20 of the games that were nominated. Number 1 receives 20 points, number 2 19 points ,..... number 20 one point. You make also additions and within one tour (for a period of four weeks for example), you have a great TOP with of course the 4 first games that you can keep for the ultime tour on the front page ....

Oh those hard matches... here we go, here we go, here we goooooooooooo...
