After the release of FILE2CAS, earlier this week, Boukichi decided to create a tool that works the other way around as wel. WAV2FILE directly converts WAV recordings from cassettes carrying MSX software to files.

Marcel Delorme sent us a new version of V9BMP, a BMP file viewer for GFX9000 (Yamaha V9990). This version adds Gbasic copy format support.

Only a day after the release of MSX Magazine 3, MSX Association has issued several patches to fix some minor issues the new version of MSXPLAYer was having on some computer systems.

On May 14th, Aamsx will organize the 27th MSX User meeting of Barcelona. From 10:00 to 17:00 MSX users from Spain will gather to discuss, demonstrate, sell and/or buy anything related to MSX. A new episode of the Spanish MSX Magazine Call MSX is to be released during the fair.

FRS has released a new BIOS for the Philips Music Module at MSXPró. By using this BIOS the Philips Music Module becomes MSX-AUDIO compatible, allowing you to play any BASIC music written for the MSX-Music just by changing the CALL MUSIC command to CALL AUDIO.

Yesterday, the first copies of ASCII MSX Magazine 3 hit the streets, while the first pre-ordered copies arrived at the homes of their new owners. On the MSX Laboratory Blog you can find a picture of the webmaster of this blog holding the magazine, giving a close look at the cover of the magazine.
