Meteorito!!
Konamito's 25th anniversary MSX-BASIC challenge received its third entry. After Tronkotron, UnAz created Meteorito!!, a sideways scrolling shooter. A shower of meteorites threatens to destroy the old pine yard you inherited from your grandfather. Blast those meteorites to pieces and save the trees!
It's April 1st and as we're not pulling your April-fools-legs this year, let's move straight on to the MSX Download charts of March 2008. As you probably know by now, the MSX Download Charts are our monthly overview of which files from our freeware MSX downloads corner have been downloaded the most in the past month.
DJANGO has been very busy lately and translated Phantasy IV - Birth of a Hero to english. Phantasy IV is a japanese RPG, created by Starcraft in 1991 for MSX2. You can download the translation from the MSX Café website.
Robo Crush
DJANGO created a translation in english and french for the game Robo Crush. Robo Crush is a simulation game, released in 1990 by System Soft for MSX2. You can download the translation from the MSX Café website.
Master of Monsters

DJANGO has created a translation in english and french of the turn-based strategy game Master of Monsters. The game was originally released by System Soft in 1989 and requires at least an MSX2.
Tronkotron
The second entry to Konamito's 25th anniversary MSX-BASIC challenge is Tronkotron by UnAz. It is a version of TRON: as you steer your motorbike through the field you leave a trail behind you.
Knight'08 by Jos'b is the first entry to Konamito's 25th anniversary MSX-BASIC challenge. The object of the game, written in BASIC, is to steer your knight over the chess board, collect points and avoid being taken by one of the other pieces on the board.

meisei 1.1.2
A new version of meisei has been released this morning. New in this version:
- fixed movie timecode setting always saving as "no"
- added support for movie subtitles, it's even possible to create things like this
- mappers: traded meisei SRAM support for a nice picture of Audrey Tautou from AuroraMSX.
It's taken a while, but here they finally are: the results of the second edition of the Scene Music Remake Challenge. In this challenge, musicians were invited to pick a piece of MSX music from an MSX scene composer of their choice and rearrange/remix it with whatever equipment they like.
