You may recall a SymbOS image in advertisement style in 2007. That particular image was the winning entry of MSXart'07, a competition organized by the Passion MSX website. If you intended to compete with that challenge, but couldn't make it in time, you'll get a new chance: MSXart'08 has just been announced!
Konamito has prepared a few new t-shirts, all of them related to MSX-personages and -games. These new shirts are available in: S, M, L, XL and XXL and colors are available upon request. A shirt costs €20 including shipment.
Not being someone to take a rest, only_69 keeps himself busy with map making. This little update is about the 1989 MSX2 game Malaya no Hihou by Pony Canyon. Unfortunately the map isn't complete yet.
MSX-O-Mizer v1.0
MSX-o-mizer v1.0 is an adaption for the MSX of Magnus Lind's Exomizer Windows cruncher which was originally made to pack c64 files.
MSX-o-mizer's main features and differences:
- Minimal set of parameters (compared to the original exomizer)
- Handles MSX binary files (not MSXDOS ones)
- Creates MSX executable files by inserting a depacker routine and a binary files header

Mapmaker only_69 has released five new maps again! These maps can be of great assistance in finishing a relevant game, but could also provide a lot of insight into the design of the game itself.

Marcelo Teixeira Silveira from Brazil has created an English translation of his MSX Viewer Appendix. This is a PDF document which explains MSX screen modes in their fullest detail while still being understandable for beginning MSX'ers, it's a valuable document for novice MSX developers!
