MSXRio 2002
MSX Files reported about the announcement of MSXRio 2002 a few days ago. This Brazilian MSX-event will be held (for the sixth time!) on August 3rd. Check the (Portuguese) site for more information.
People who visited Tilburg could already see and buy them, but now the information on the Sunrise Compact Flash interface is available on the net as well.This interface makes it possible to use an ordinary Compact Flash card for storage. It will act exactly the same as a harddisk connected to an IDE-interface, so you can even boot from CF-card.
openMSX 0.1.8
On the sourceforge site of the new MSX emulator openMSX you can download version 0.1.8 of this emulator. Currently, the releases of this emulator are only for the Linux OS.
One of the greatest MSX classics is being rebuilt for PC. Currently the development of the game is in the end of its fist stage (remaking from scratch with new graphics and sound). Enemies and bosses have been redrawn, the entire castle is implemented, and first 7 worlds are functional with great fidelity to the original game.
