On the 31st of July the 2004 MSXDev competition closes. As the deadline is getting closer, more and more developers send in their finished games. Last week Eat Blue! 2004, the second MSXDev'04 entry, was released, followed by the third entry: T-Virus.

DrMSX has released yet another marvellous PSG/SCC/OPLL song for MSX called Crystal Path. You can download this new song and previous releases in MP3 or MGS format from his website.

Konami and Vodafone have released the classic MSX game Yie Ar Kung Fu for mobile phones.

MSXFiles will release 4 new games for MSX during the upcoming MSXRio MSX fair, which will be held on the 27th, 28th and 29th of August, 2004.

MESS, the Multiple Emulator Super System based on Arcade-emulator MAME has been updated to version 0.84. In the new version, all improvements that were made to MAME 0.84 were implemented, as well as some improvements to Amstrad emulation.
