Last week a new version of Bargain has been released. Since we last reported about the tool, it has been optimized for speed and better compression and several bugs were removed.

Bargain is a lossless compression tool for MSX images in screen mode 5 upto 12.

Karoshi Corporation has joined 2KBOS mini-game development contest with G-MONKEY, an MSX adaptation of the well known Microsoft's Q-basic Gorillas. In this game, each player has to hit the other monkey with explosive bananas, adjusting angle and speed. The first player to score five points wins.

The source code will be released along with the final version of the game.

The MSX Cartridge Shop has been updated. The main changes are:

  • The site has been ported from Flash to XHTML+CSS+JavaScript by Juno
  • Added new games: Majikazo, Operation Wolf and Traffic Jam
  • A new 1024K MegaFlashROM cartridge is available.

Yesterday the 25th anniversary event took place in Den Dolder. Today, MSX Posse has published a photoshoot of this event, with most photos made by oeioeivogeltje.
