MGSDRV v3.20+

MGSDRV creates a driver to play MGS files.
The documentation is full translated to English and French by gdx.
This version works also on MSX1 with 64kB or more.

I updated the contact information in documentation, and the archive has been replaced but it will probably be replaced again (I hope) because hidden files that can interfere on the MSX to decompress it has been add.

Also, the version that was here has been improved to work on MSX1!

I think a colleague wanted to help here.
Unfortunately a new version needs a new filename in the system, otherwise the old one will take its place again.
In my system I can't find any hidden files, but this may be due to my limited abilities. In this case, please be so kind and send me a zipped file that I can upload.

The file I am linking to has no hidden files. Your Mac must have added the hidden files when you opened it. So don't open it or use software like BetterZip for example. It is paid but it is a very good software.
Apple is not able to put an option to not put hidden files anywhere. My camera also doesn't like hidden files.

I fixed that by removing hidden files, but i had to change name from MGSD320P.ZIP to MGSD320+.ZIP because of forum engine limitations

Slightly offtopic, but in the past I managed to at least prevent DSStore files from being written to USB drives and network volumes with:

defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteUSBStores -bool true
defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores -bool true
sudo mdutil -i off -d /Volumes/$YOURDRIVENAME

and to prevent indexing on a partition:
Prevent MDS from attempting to Index

sudo touch /Volumes/$YOURDRIVENAME/.metadata_never_index

of course, this was quite some time ago, so I don't know if this still works on recent macOS releases.

That is MGSD320P.ZIP not MGSDR320.ZIP.

I am not sure but the bios patch for MSX1 that was needed to allow 3.20 to run on MSX1 is no longer needed in the latest release.

It's true for MGSP but not for other software that use this driver.
