I just got my MegaFlashROM in today and it doesn't seem to recognize any MicroSD card that I throw at it. Is this because I have an FS-A1 (which has 128K of VRAM but 64K of main RAM) or is there something wrong with the cart?
The cartridge shoul work on your MSX, but on MSX-DOS mode due to RAM.
When you say that it does not recognize any micro SD card, do you mean that it does not recognize it in the boot message or in recovery? Or do you mean you can't read its content from MSX-DOS?
Have you formatted your cards in FAT12 and 16MB partitions?
Here you can find a tutorial about how to do it

It's not recognized in recovery mode or in Nextor, and since neither recognizes it there's no way I can properly format it. I'll try formatting it through my computer and see what happens from there.
If it is not recognized in the boot message or in recovery (SD Init error?) then it will not work.
That is not a format related problem, but hardware (the card or the micro SD slot)
It is strange, because I test all cartridges twice: after soldering components and after assebling the cartridge case and sticker.
About the F700P:
Does it work after pressing RESET?
Does it fail on both slots?
Could you clean the cartridge slots?
I think I've found my sony h700p problem, when I start a cartridge in my sony then everything goes well, I can fiddle with the cartridge and the game, demo therefore continues to run.
But if I hit on my desk then the game, demo will freeze.
I used the flashrom version 1 and started pippols it works but only till i hit the table.
Only strange thing is when i dont do anything why does the scc+sd dont detect my sd in the cartridge
I will try and fix my sony-h700p

Try your msx with a game cartridge, it should start, hit the desk near the msx ofcourse see what happens, not the most sientific way but hey.

It works perfectly fine with games, no desk hitting required
So I just got through trying a few more MicroSD cards and it doesn't work with any of them...
I have updated OPFXSD to v1.08. Now it is possible to use any multiROM filename.
By default MULTIROM.OPF will be used (i.e.: OPFXSD /O)
But now you can have different multiROM configuration files:
OPFXSD konami.opf /o
OPFXSD shooters.opf /o
I was wondering: is the diskrom copied to RAM before initialization? When I start a disk game from the Flash cartridge and after that I remove the Flash cartridge, my Turbo R ST refuses to boot and gives me an error about the C drive. Power the machine off, wait a few minutes, and everying works again.
And would is be possible to let mapdrv detect the megaflashrom to simplify usage? Or could more drives be mapped on boot (like the sunrise CF)? I have one SD-flashcart with two partitions and only the first one is mounted. So A is the rom disk, B is the first partition, C & D are the floppies, Just by reading to documentation it is very hard to determine the correct parameters to mapdrv to mount the second partition as C, and the floppy drives on D and E. And even when you have the correct parameters, this changes when the cartridge is inserted in another slot.
But besides that: It works great and fast. Loading is much faster compared to the non-SD version!

DiskROM is not copied to RAM.
That is a really weird error (O___o!)
I also have a ST and I can't reproduce it.
Do you have that problem with any DSK?
Do you have any other hardware connected to your MSX?
If you don't remove the cartridge and just press ESC, does it work fine?

That is the way Nextor works. As far as I know, Konamiman will add a configuration file that will let you choose which partitions and drives you want to mount at boot.
