Question about switching frequency.
I use the multirom.opf to load the menu for several games. I found that Arkanoid works better when it's loaded at 60Hz, but when I use the /H60 option, it's still loading at 59Hz.
Why can I load the game when manually changing the menu to NTSC60Hz in 60Hz mode, but not with the /H60 option in the multirom.opf file ?
Or am I doing something wrong ?
Or does anyone have the Arkanoid ROM for 60Hz, or a patch to change it to 60 Hz...
Many thanks in advance !!
It should work fine. But bear in mind that options are global (except mapper settings) when making a MultiROM. That means that if you add a /H60 to a game, MultiROM will boot at 60 Hz and you can't set different frequencies to different games.
Anyway, you can change it easily to 50 or 60 Hz from MultiRom menu options.
Yes, changing it in the MultiRom menu works, but I thought that adding the /H60 option would work so I wouldn't have to change it in the menu...
That also should work. I have tested just the opposite (my turbo R works at 60Hz) and Arkanoid boots at 50Hz when adding /H50 in the MultiROM
Well, I'm pretty sure it still starts at 50Hz even though I added the /H60 option.
I use a scart scaler to connect my MSX to an LCD monitor, and when I load Arkanoid the scores on right are slightly off screen. When I manually load it at 60Hz, the scores are completely visible.
So for some reason the /H60 option is not working for me...
Could it be that my special version of OPFXSD doesn't support it ? I received a modified version because I'm colorblind and couldn't see the yellow menubar clearly ?
Probably you are using a very old OPFXSD version.
A workaround could be to add /H60 when loading the MultiROM. I.e.:
OPFXSD /O /H60
It's version 1.14
That's the latest version right?
Strange...
That feature is since v1.10, so it should work on 1.14
If I boot in 50Hz (holding F5), multiROM changes to 60Hz when using /H60
So, indeed, it is strange it does not work on your configuration.
Sorry if someone already answered this, (thread is too big and search engine don't help at all) but:
Can I load a MSX1 MegaROM game (i.e. Nemesis) from Nextor (SD card will have ROMs organized in directories) on a msx1 without mapper using this version of MFR?
And what about a bigger game, like Portuguese version of Shalom (bigger than 256k, I use a 512k file but it is probably "padded" to work properly with rom loaders)?
Hi guillian
Did you read about epsg card, the project to double the 3 voices OF PSG to have a stereo sound or a multitrack pt3 player etc.
YouR MFRSCCSD gas a builtin PSG. Can we obtain same results with msx PSG and mfrsccsd PSG working together?
