New Logo for Zemmix Neo. (It boots up with this logo. Even if you don't like it. :) )
I Like it +1
I do also have a feature request for the Zemmix NEO Loader.
Is it possible to create a config file that the loader will use to point to the folders where the ROM's are located ?
This way people can use the Neo Loader, without moving all rom's to the folder structure that the Loader expects to be there.
I find some news about Zemmix Neo but some of the guys are angry about this.
Hmmm strange guys... (Japanese. Use google translate or something.)
http://ameblo.jp/akatenjpn/entry-11532776910.html
I explained Yo-O as an engineer who 'studied' in Germany but they said him as 'Student'.
And I said -$30 each but translated +$30 each.. I don't that angry with this that much (Yo-O did.)

This one makes me mad. I don't know why they are angry about license...
They are kind of mad about we made this kinds of product.. Hmmm.
I didn't even explain or sell Zemmix Neo in Japan..
I hope they do not make any problem when making Zemmix Neo..
I think that if anyone owning the MSX Copyright still did care they would have covered that market need a long time ago. If this is much of a concern you can always ship the device without a BIOS and have the users take responsibility for doing it...
BTW, we have ordered 5. 3 Are already allocated, a 4th one is a strong "maybe". If anyone in the US (to save on shipping cost) is interested by the 5th please let me know.
@Maggoo.
It must be very hard to download bios. You need to use 'usb blaster' or some other hardware
to install firmware first time I already moded bios without any MSX string inside anyways.
And one more. I'm not the guy who want to buy 5th in US.. I think you can sell it to EBAY later.
@Luppie
The latest version of Zemmix Neo Loader has all romset and Favorite feature inside.
@Maggoo.
And one more. I'm not the guy who want to buy 5th in US..
You're sure ? I'll give you a special discount ?
@Maggoo
Haha.. I live in Korea and I'm the one who made this.
Cause you probably cannot sell it to me even if there is special discount
I hope you can find new victim soon in US. I'm pretty sure lot more guys must be there who want this.
mygodess, I really like the new Zemmix Neo boot screen logo. : )
And I'm sure we can find a 5th buyer in the U.S. : ) I think Maggoo was just doing a call out to any American MSX users who might be reading this thread to see if they would be interested to buy this fifth one.
Regarding the posts you were reading from the Japanese blogs: Japanese people tend to be very protective of copyrights. This is not necessarily a bad thing when you look at places like the U.S. and China, which take and host just about everything copyrighted or not. But, if what they are referring to is the MSX intellectual property, such as the logo and trademark and hardware, then from what I see here, you are not using the MSX logo, MSX trademark or licensing, or original code (if that is what I read from your earlier post). So that only leaves the hardware and hardware configuration. Now international copyrights are tricky, but I can at least tell you that Nintendo's Famicom patent on the hardware expired back in 2003 to my knowledge which allowed for new distributors to make "clones" and can now sell them legally in most cases provided they don't use the logo, name or trademark of "Nintendo" as though it were a product of Nintendo. I would imagine that the same kind of thing would apply to MSX hardware, unless there is some kind of issue with their being a patent specicifially applied to the One Chip MSX, but I very much doubt that and as Maggoo said, if The MSX Licensing Association really cared about this, they have had plenty of time to continue redistribution and have taken no such action. I'm sure if there was a similar patent on Zemmix products in S. Korea, it would have likely expired by now as well.
Long story short, from what I can see, you are developing a Zemmix product, not an MSX product based on hardware that can be freely and legally purchased, and like you said, you are not selling or distributing this back to Japan, and Japan never distributed OCM's outside of Japan to my knowledge.
Someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong on some of this.
Also that part was indeed completely mistranslated on their site about their being a $30 profit. From what you said, you did not say there was a $30 profit, but rather instead a - $30 Loss. You lost money to make this originally because the cost was too much.

@SkyeWelse
I don't worry that much about the news. Just curious a little bit
I tried to escape all the licence with modifying all the MSX logo,and Microsoft Copyright kind of string in bios. The patent in S.Korea is almost as same with there because Daewoo does not have the license now I think. Anyways, I'll make and send those to you guys. You don't have to worry about that also
