A Card based RPG... Should be feasible and there are some enjoyable titles out there on the consoles

I have some [unfinished] projects that would feat this genre ... In fact would be possible to find some similarities between various games.

Anyone want to test a beta or alfa release? If so, drop a e-mail to me and in some time you will receive a starting working project ...

Now that I need a good job, I could use some spare time to develop cool stuff ...

Nyyrikki, I´d like to see that. I can hardly remember any FMV games with good gameplay...

I don't know what you call FMV specifically, but there were at least a few incredible FMV games for sure. Search for "Return to Zork" and Myst Series. Both for PC-CD.

Talking about Myst, the first one of the series (and the most succesful) wasn't even FMV, it was just a collection of very beautiful pre-rendered images. It should be VERY EASY to port to MSX using screen 12 and being equal to the original (except for the music), as its color resolution was only 8-bit.

Games played over a pre-rendered video. The Myst series and Zork don't really qualify since they use static pictures with an occasional video. (or full 3D for later mysts).

You should think about games like Megarace and Rebel Assault, where gameplay is projected over a running (aan looping) video.

Yukio, i would be interested in beta testing for such an interesting concept. Can't see your e-mail address in your profile though. Am i just blind or didn't you enter it?

I see... So, I am afraid there aren't any good FMV games. Megarace was damn boring and Rebel Assault was ok for that time, better than other FMV shooting games because of its frenetic action (actually, tons of enemy targets), but the stages that you controlled some spacecraft from third-view were very bad, you could be hit by the scenario without touching nothing...

'sortofontopic':

I recall a cheat in a random English magazine (PC Gamer, iirc) that disables the shooting bit (the actual 'game') from Wing Commander III.

Strange, my public e-mail is not displayed.
Ok, even after the addition of my name there isn't a e-mail address ... Maybe because of it that I didn't get much MSX related mails!!!

How can I leave a public e-mail?
What's about old messages?
