Getting NES zapper to work on MSX

I have tried to modify a NES zapper according to the wiring schema from FRS. I've connected my zapper to the MSX and Joytest recognizes the zapper as a MSX lightgun.
However, it detects the trigger but I can't get anything to hit, even when I am targetting the zapper in front of the television.
I am testing with an CRT television, the zapper did work with a NES and Duckhunt on the same TV.

Anyone tried the same and have better experiences?

Is it working with any game? Like Air Hockey or Pig Race?

I tried Duck Hunt and Dungeon Hunter. With Duck Hunt, even when the gun is pointed at a duck it's always a missed shot. Dungeon Hunter can't start, you have to point on the 1-player triangle but it won't go further.
I'll try Air Hockey and Pig Race tonight, I will let you know the results.

Tried Air Hockey and Pig Race, no luck. With Air Hockey I got to select the menu but that was after a lot of random shots.
