Sure!
Hi FloriFuxx, welcome to the forum!
In my personal counting you must be German MSX user number 5 of 10!
My first MSX VG8010 was a birthday present in March 1987. So then I am between Number 6 and 10
Time to make a German MSX meeting.
It will feel so strange to talk about MSX in German!
Of course we could team up with some C64 fanboys, which shouldn't been hard to find in our region.
Just to scare them.
Great idea! I'd totally love that! Heck, I really wonder why MSX has been so unpopular in Germany, while it was a lot more popular right next door in the Netherlands. I mean, sure, the Dutchies had Philips to promote the system in their homeland, but Philips was and still is a strong and popular brand in Germany, too... My local computer store actively promoted MSX, which is why my parents got me a Sony MSX for christmas, but all other kids in my school (and it was a big school!) were like huh? MSX? What's that? Still today when I talk about retro computers, everyone knows VIC20, C64, Atari, but noone has ever heard of MSX. So not surprising that the German branch of the MSX community seems to be one of the smallest
I experience a very open-minded and interested retro scene in Germany.
The times of the system wars are over, today everyone is happy about the differences between the various types of computers. This makes the scene much more colourful and exciting.
It's also worth having a look at the German C64 forum, we MSXers have a subforum there and a busy thread.
To fall asleep, it's also worth listening to our eight-hour podcast marathon on the topic. :)
Now we have the two big meetings in Nijmegen coming up. In upcoming spring, we will organise a meeting in southern Germany.
I am very much looking forward to see an MSXVR and a MEGA65 competiting.
@hamlet
Spring meeting in Southern Germany! Hoooorraay! Count me in.
I just wanted to propose the organization of such an event. If you need support with the organization in any way, let me know.
@FloriFuxx
Did you already added yourself to the "Big MSX Users, where do you live" thread?
Good starting point to seek out other German MSX users. And there is also a Google Map, where you can set a pin for your location...
I'm happy to count you in.
BTW The lootbox should arrive today at your home.

Found it! Thanks a lot! I'd really love any kind of retro meets! Does not have to be 100% MSX related, because... I really love everything from the 8 and 16 bit home computer era! The more stuff, the better :D
Hi,
You can count me in too! I'm not German, but I live in Frankfurt (a.M.), and would also gladly help with the organization to the best of my possibilities/time. It's nice to see that there are actually a number of active MSX users in Germany!
