As a really quick, general overview, MSXPi is a generic interface for MSX. It connects to a Raspberry Pi an allow to do stuff like:
- Get time and date and update MSX-DOs
- Copy files from SD Card or http/ftp sites directly to MSX disks / SD
- Load 8/16/32K games directly from SD / Internet
- Control audio playback on Pi
- IRC chat
- WhatsApp chat (very basic, experimental but works)
- Run commands on Pi from MSX
- Create BASIC programs to use the Interface (IRC and WhatsApp clients are in BASIC)
- CALL commands
- Server side is now in Python, easier than C to program.
- Open source, that means anyone invited to contribute.
It is a great toy to hack, program, play, and use wit MSX.
Cost will be the same as previous batches: £35 / 40€ plus shipping.
