MRC User PlainSpooky has written an MSX version of the ZX Spectrum game Nohzdyve. It loads on any MSX computer (50Hz or 60Hz) with at least 16 KiB of RAM with support for keyboard and joystick.

The game Nohzdyve is a vertically scrolling action game where you're falling fast through the sky. Collect eyeballs on your way and avoid the buildings or other hazards. Orinally written by Tuckersoft on ZX Spectrum to appear in the Netflix flick "Bandersnatch", this MSX version is now available for download.

For those people who missed the whole point of this game, Nohzdyve is a game released for the Spectrum in 2018/2019 (probably Dec 28 2018).

It's a promotional game as an Easter Egg of the Bandersnatch film/episode from Black Mirror.

"Colin Ritman" is a fictional character in this film, and obviously not the author.
I believe it's someone from the Spectrum scene but I don't know his real name.

The author is Matt Wescott (aka Gasman)

Wow! Congratulations, it's very fast, and even passes on both AcidTests and turbo support!

This was worthy of an entry on MSXdev.

Wow! Game speed is synchronized by JITTY, screen is divided in two buffers in RAM, one for tiles (I basically redraw entire screen each frame) and other for sprites and updated only during VDP interruption. But MSXDev is for fresh games and it is already released, I don't know by the rules if I can submit it.

There were plenty of ports of games (and clones) on previous editions, like:

- Barbarian The Duel
- Duck Hunt
- Guru Logic
- Jawbreaker II
- Battle Tetris
- Night Driver
- Mr Mole
- M-Tanks
- Operation Wolf
- QBIQS
- The Cure
- Griel’s Quest for the Sangraal
- Saimazoom
- Snail Maze
- Traffic Jam
- Tiles of Shalom
- Uridium
etc

I'm just not sure if it can be submitted after it was already released.

That's the point but when I've begun to write this game I made a promise to myself to don't change graphics and use the same of speccy version (I did few adjusts to make sprites fit on 16x16 pixels size and on title logo -- I did add more color and details on eyeball). But would be nice to produce a enhanced version of Nohzdyve that looks much more a MSX game.
