Does anyone know if MSX Panic (EOE & Sony) was sold on tape, cartridge or both?

Never saw the EOE & Sony version before, the intro screen is missing the Octopuss title and on the menu screen it adds the "copyright 1986 EOE et Sony" at the bottom. Would be nice if we could find a photo of the cover of this version.

Thank you Juanmi. "Octopuss - MSX Panic" is probably the original title. It has probably erased in the other version found on MSX games World (DSK) and some spanish sites (ROM). The version without "Octopuss" is perhaps a version that was released in Spain although the texts remained in French. I can't find the version "Octopuss".

Does somebody know anything about the company EOE? is this a spanish company? I have an Octopuss version on disk as a single binary file, I think I got it from the d-msx site (can't provide the url, but google is your friend).

I found Octopuss and fixed few issues, then converted it to ROM. I sent it to tfh...
From what the blurb says, this game seems also available in English.

Hi gdx, where did you find the blurb?

Looking for information about this game, I find that Frédéric Laudet (Developer of the game), was editor in chief in MSX french magazine MSX Micros.

In MSX Micros & Micros ID french magazines, there are advertising for the game, with two references. The game was sold in tape and diskette.

I think that not many copies must have been sold. And I don't think it was ever sold in Spain.
I didn't know of its existence.

What I don't quite understand is the relationship with Sony and EOE. And we don't know who the acronym EOE belongs to either.
