Tried the Vaxol from file hunter, worked nice on SM-X using OCM 3.9, when z80 is turbo it seems a little bit chaotic but command was ok. Did you try changing the z80 speed? F12 toggles different speeds, seems game is made to be used on 3.58MHz and go a little bit frenetic when z80 is faster. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is that MiSTER is based on 3.8 and perhaps it was something fixed on 3.9, I don't think this to be very likely but there is always the chance of that being the case.
Again, keyboard and joystick worked fine for me, and game seemed more playable @3.58Mhz.

I appreciate your reply. However, it is the same even if I change the cpu speed turbo option to normal and change it to 3.58 Mhz. I've tried all the roms found on Google, but it's the same. When I use the keyboard, the arrow keys work, but the fire keys don't work and the joystick doesn't work at all.

Have you tried using windows key instead of space to avoid n-key roll over that most pc keyboards have? About joystick, MiSTER doesn't connect stuff directly, so it could be broken since they keep updating and changing the core parts, so I would suggest you open an issue on their github

Windows key does not work when running vaxol rom. I ran vaxol rom on sofarun from the unofficial msx1 core of MiSTer fpga, and it was confirmed that both keyboard and joystick work well. I think there is a problem with MiSTer's kdl ocm core.
Windows key doesn't work in Mist / Mister MSX core. It's a port of KdL firmware, but this feature is lost, I'm not sure why.
