Hello all,

Is there anyone who has the schematics for the Konami game master (1 and 2) cartridges...?
Couldn't find it on the web.
I have the ROM files, and would like to make a real cartridge.

And if I have them working, I will of course share the Gerber files for the PCB's here on the forum

If you have a ESE-RAM-SCC, you can use it instead of the Game Master 2 thanks to the ESE-10 patch. All functions are usable with 32kB SRAM instead of 8kB. Game Master 2 SRAM saving/loading to disk utilities by Sean Young do not work but the Game Master 2 can do it. (tested with King Valley 2)

Some functions do not work with an ESE-RAM with ASCII8 mapper.

Isn't GM1 a simple 16kB ROM?

Some time ago, I worked on producing a cartridge capable of running the Game Master 2 with a Sram and a simple CR2032 battery for backup in an Overrich case (the PCB is compatible with a Konami SCC case). It's almost finished. Wink

I'm not providing the sources because it's not currently an open source project. There is an open source project for the GM2 part which is comparable and uses Fram rather than Sram. It provides a Gerber that you should be able to view with any dedicated program. however the device uses a Xilinx CPLD, it will require the dedicated tool to visualize the program/schematic which will allow a complete understanding. It seems that this project is based on information given by a Wiki rather than the original cartridge. So, not having studied it, I don't know if it is objective: Click here !
