;--- NEXTSLOT:
; Returns in A the next slot available on the system every time it is called.
; When no more slots are available it returns #FF.
; To initialize it, #FF must be written in NEXTSL.
; Modifies: AF, BC, HL

This is a very good routine. It helped many people in the past (including me). Smile

Wasn't it called SIGSLOT? Tongue OK, you are translating even the names now...

I just got the sunrise casing. The casing looks very nice and is very smooth.
However if I want to fit in the SD v2.2 then I have to completely re-design my PCB layout.
As the 2 holes that hold the PCB are higher (KOEI PCB) and also the back of the casing comes to the inside a bit (around 2mm)
There is a chip positioned at the back of the PCB and that will not fit too.
I can widen the print to have more room for the components and traces but that will make it more expensive
Will there be more interest in a complete product inside a nice casing but more expensive? Or do you guys value more about a cheap PCB and you have to make a casing yourself?

Errr... I'm divided.
How "nice" is the sunrise casing? Can you take some pictures?
*PS* I can complement the order sending more money if needed! Big smile

Muffie, the current version will not fit in the sunrise casing.
I will try to post some images tonight otherwise tomorrow

I can only guess the 'normal user' / 'hardcore user' ratio in MSX land, but I'm pretty sure most users prefer a nice cartridge, and wouldn't mind a somewhat higher purchase price (say +10~15 Euro) if the product looks (& works!) good.

Also a case gives good protection against static discharge (between user and computer, with the cartridge in between taking a hit), because you only touch the non-conducting plastic, not the circuitry. And you don't get coffee or soda spills on the PCB easily. Big smile

Some good reasons to use a case if possible. That said: is it a problem to offer both options? Question

Well I can tell you this that the KOEI casing style is very hard to use with an SD socket on the back of the PCB.
As the casing comes inside to the PCB there is not much room for components at the back of it.
I need to completely re work the PCB layout to get something to work on it. It might need to have the SD sockets on the side instead of the top as it is now. For the moment I stay with the konami layout and will see if I can make something work in the sunrise casing.
That will take time though ...

So, I think I'm good with the current layout inside a Konami casing (Can you still send me one Erik?)
I'll work on a nice label that I can print on my work's colored laser printer! Big smile

Hi Muffie, everything is ready. I have a casing for you and the PCB is ready. I will pack it tomorrow and then drop it at the post office in the afternoon.
So you should get it somewhere next week or the one after that.
