This is amazing ! the arcade version of Ghost and Goblins running in a MSX ! This is so cool !
To make it even better it should have a OPL4 soundtrack. What are your plans for the music in this game?
That looks awesome! I'm just missing sound... what are the plans for that?
SCC for Music and PSG for FX. In this video you can hear all songs and only two FX (not the good ones).

Incredible! This really looks like the real thing... I'm wondering if everything was re-coded from scratch (trying to mimic the original for enemy behaviors, game play, etc...), or if some parts of the arcade version code have been reversed-engineered or even re-used??
I'm using the same base engine I started for Losaben Akel. All coded from scratch, execpt g9b file reader from team bomba, deexo decompressor, ayfx and trilotracker player.
The "secret" is to use the 'cheat' option in MAME to go safely trough the stages and recording an AVI. Then, in some cases frame by frame, studying the movement of each enemy.
It's been an entertaining job.
Amazing work!

Ha! I remember doing something similar for the Maze of Galious remake. I recorded a video in the emulator, and basically advanced it frame by frame to get the exact pixel differences between each stage of jumping, etc. But doing this for G'n'G arcade game had to be even harder given the variety in enemies! So, I am really really impressed!
I'm curious: will the super-annoying red-devils of the arcade version be as annoying in this version ? I noticed in the video the first one gave up a bit quickly (not saying here that this should be changed !!)
