Using 'Popolon' in the title would be a no-go as well I think? And what about 'Pampas'?
Btw: 'maze of Galious', but the castle was already there, so the castle is the maze, and it isn't Galious's.
Although when we look at 'Labyrinth' from Greek mythology, it's seems highly plausible the designers modeled Galious and the game title after that.
If I'm not mistaken, this sequel doesn't rule out Galious('s spirit) is still alive or something, but simply doesn't want to reference Galious (and other original game name/elements) directly.
It mentions '10 demons', where do these come from (is there any story behind that)? Why are they after the kingdom of Greek again? (Maybe just for fun? 
)
The original story mentions Galious sold his soul to the devil btw, and he wanted to turn the world into a 'realm of darkness' (using the castle as his base).
Story wise e.g.: Galious' spirit never died, or come up with another evil mastermind that wants to succeed where Galious failed or something. (Although I believe you haven't designed a mastermind / final boss?)
