Hi all,

Can anybody please provide a screenshot of Konami no Uranai Sensation featuring a Moai?
You know the stone heads that are in a lot of Konami games like Gradius, etc.

I am curating a list of Moai in video games and MSX is doing well!

https://moai.games

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
matt

Good question! It's in the site FAQ. And you can browse the data by year, platform, developer using the site menu.

Spoiler: not Konami.

- Either Exerion (Jaleco, Arcade but not MSX version) or Secret of Easter Island (Jeff Marraccini, Apple II), both from 1983.
- Just for MSX it looks like Thunder Storm aka Cobra Command (Data East), from 1984.
- Konami started in 1985 with Gradius (Arcade) and Pippols (MSX).

With regards to Uranai I'm wondering if Moai is only referenced in the text and not in the graphics?

A new 1983 (joint oldest) game discovered through an old Japanese magazine.

I'll check out the link and look into the book.

Found a YouTube showing the single page(!) of Moai from the book.

And the UVList had appox 20 new games.

Almost at 300 now.

Sure. I expected more when you described it as an overview of Moai in Konami games. But thanks! It was useful.

Earliest Konami seems Pandora's Palace (Arcade, 1984)

The book lists "The Treasure of Usas" as having a Moai as a stage decoration. Can't anybody clarify?

I cannot see it on these maps: https://www.vgmaps.com/Atlas/MSX/index.htm#T

Thanks!
