I'm still writing and playing. The first part took me a year, the second part I'm writing now is moving along slowly...
If you realize I'm replaying MG2, MOG, USAS, SNATCHER and all those big games, you know why. But don't panic, behind the scenes people are already reading and correcting the parts that are done.

That sounds good Wim! And I can imagine that playing those games, even with cheats, are time-consuming. I am looking forward to the end result.

Yes, even with cheats it's a hell of a job. But fun! I've never played SNATCHER before, or SHALOM, simply because they were not translated when they came out. It's like I'm rediscovering those games.

I'm writing you guys again for help. I'm currently working on the Metal Gear 2 chapter. It seems there is some confusion about the portraits used from famous people. We all know Big Boss is Sean Connery. But Holly White, is she Brenda Bakke or Christina Applegate? What about Yosef Norden? Is he Bob Hoskins or Donald Pleasence? And who are Marv and Natasha? Was this mystery ever solved by Konami, or are all the portraits just guesses from the MSX community?

Personally, I think Hardcore Gaming 101's guesses are the most plausible.
By the way, the previous page of that article briefly touches Snatcher regarding this subject.

I always thought that Solid Snake was based on Tour of Duty actor Terence Knox:

I need your help once more guys...

The second bonus stage of Parodius (see maps here) seems to contain a Japanese sentence.

Is there anyone out here speaking Japanese and able to translate this into English?

It would appear to say "今年もコナ三をよろし" which google translates as "Thank you Kona three again this year". Does that make any sense to you?
