I'm thinking of getting a megaflash rom in the near future but I was wondering, what is the use of a second SD card slot and the added RAM?

Second µSD slot: twice the capacity/copy from A to B
More RAM: Being able to run more software

The RAM is totally worth it. All my MSX computers have 64KB or less of RAM and I'm able to run most of the MSX software without troubles Smile.

Realistically, though, as long as the flashrom cart contains 512kb RAM, you'll be able to run 99% of the MSX's library of games from it, as VERY, VERY FEW GAMES have been made that require any more ROM space on a cartridge than that. Aside from a small handful of homebrew cartridge titles, I think there may be one or two Koei games, and that's it.

Some of the homebrew games that require more than 512kb ROM space, though, are definitely worth playing -- Sword of IANNA, for example, would require at least 720kb, but is one of the MSX's best homebrew titles.

But I'm sure relo999 is gonna buy the Sword of Ianna and not just copy it.
There is no problem in playing original software with only 64kb, except a few european 90' RPG's and demos.

You can download the game legally at their own website.

But I find the cartridge and the box, very nice to have in my collection ;)

Some problems occur when using the same SD card on MSX and PC. For example the long file names and hidden files. When you use a second SD card only to transfer files from the PC, you avoid these problems and some others.

For the RAM, it depends on your configuration, If you plan to buy a slot expander, it's probably better to buy a bigger expansion RAM separate.
