Hello,

I am new to this site (and forum). I wonder if you can help me please. I understand that there is a Japanese to English translation of the MSX game maker program/tool Yoshida Konzern, which was originally released on disk by the MSX Magazine in 1990? Is this true and if so does anyone know how I would best go about finding this and downloading it? I don't really mind if its a Japanese to English translation of the actual program itself or a explanation of what the Japanese menus and functions mean - a help document for instance? any help would be appreciated. I have searched online for such files but couldn't find anything. Maybe someone can post one of these files online and I can download it from this forum or whatever website they are on?

I hope, as this is my first post on this forum, that this question/subject is okay for this part of the forum, apologies if its in the wrong area.

Thanks
Ross

It's true it was translated. The patch and a helpfile was on msxfiles.com but that site is down atm. Hopefully that'll be fixed. Perhaps it can be shared in a different way in the mean time.

Okay. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

Do you have any idea about how can get hold of the helpfile as the site it's usually kept on is down for some reason?

I really wanted to use Yoshida Konzern to make a MSX game. It would be nice if I can do this but if it turns out this goal is impossible would anyone in the MSX community know of a way to get (download) any other game maker programs? Another tool which I would like to use is called GameBuilder from MSX Club Magazine and one more which sounds good is G.A.M.E. Builder by Triple Soft and again was sold with the MSX Club magazine. Both of these where disks.

I hope someone can help.

Thanks
Ross

Since I translated that stuff I can provide the patch and help files, just the website is down at the moment (will be fixed soon). Implementation was done by Max; I am not that skilled.

So if you have an e-mail just list it and I will send it for the time being. Yoshida Konzern is the best editor for shooting games. Dante 2 is the best one for RPGs. Those two have very nice features to make nice games.

Hello,

You can use the following email address:

jm006f2960@blueyonder.co.uk

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. Hopefully I can make a decent game with this tool. Do you know where you can get GameBuilder and G.A.M.E builder?

As I'm new to MSX programs can you please also send instructions about how to use/install the patch you mention and help files?

msxfiles.com is moved to a new domain - msxtranslations.com

msxfiles.com is back online to ensure compatibility with links to it from other websites. The patch for Yoshida Konzern and the helpfiles can be found here: http://msxtranslations.com/yk.php

The instructions on how to install the patch is in the readme file.

I don't know where to find the game builder

Nice. I'm looking forward to try it out, once I get my MSX back and have my MFR-SD Smile

I am having trouble applying the patch. Sorry to ask but do you have some slightly more detailed instructions on how to apply the patch to a dsk image (or images) on a flash rom and get it working on a real MSX computer. What is the best way to run it successfully.

Thanks
Ross

First put the diskimages the patches and the patch program on a pc in the same folder. patch it with instructios in the readme txt. then write it to a disk or some flashrom to work it on msx
