I didn't knew that the single sided would work
@Philip Only have one questionto you, if there is no usb stick in the gotek or dsk file selected what happen to your boot of the MSX
My 8250 doesn't start. and the screen stays black until I select a dsk file and reset the MSX the MSX boots again with the selected .dsk file

Without usb stick the 8245 boots to basic. My 8250 also boots to basic, but it has the HxC firmware.
Both machines have one of those fast disk roms btw.
Does it show the msx logo or nothing at all ?

Oh, I just realized I have a jumper on pin 33 and 34 on one of the floppy connectors on the 8250 motherboard.
This is to make a normal pc floppy drive work (there is one in the 8250 as b: drive).
Do you have this as well ? Perhaps the gotek needs this too (I never tried without the jumper).
Or perhaps the gotek can generate a proper ready signal on pin 34 ?
