OKey "Rock and Roll Baby " !!! LOL!LOL!LOL!

Finally I understand that /P function !!

I guess, I did "opfx nemesis2.rom /b0 /P"
And it should be "opfx nemesis2.rom /P"

Now I can hear the audio !!
Thanks Guillian and Repair-Bas !! Big smile

Anyway,
Is there an option to add the /P command to the MULTIROM.OPF ???

Like for example

nemesis2.rom /p
[end]

Or isn't is possible to use the /P with the Multirom ??

OPFX Salama.rom does has sound...

Multirom.opf /o /p doesn't fix the audio,
but
Multirom.opf /p /o does work !!, Right !!??

Maybe I didn't need to change the elco....

hmmm, I was a little bit to fast... not all the games have sound...
MultiRom is't still possible..

If you don't get PSG sound in some games, then the mixer is not fixed Sad
The /P option is for getting a perfect PSG-SCC balance in Konami games, because it will patch the game to use the external PSG (the one in the MegaFlashROM SCC+)
By using the external PSG, you will avoid mixer problems too in Konami games. But it is not a definitive solution (you will not hear the PSG in other games)

It is not possible to use any option in the multirom.opf file now. Perhaps in a future version of OPFX.

OKey, Thanks Guillian Big smile

I understand it's a technical matter, all that PSG and SCC+ stuff,
and maybe only the nms 8250/55/80 has some problems with it !??

I will give the game roms a try, if the sound works fine,
otherwise, nothing is perfect, and the MegaflashRom is still super cool !! Smile

And otherwise, I still have BlueMSX and PPJOY that's also working fine, even with Cheat codes...

What I still don't know for 100% sure is,
do I need to change only R426 for the 8280, or the R428 & R429 too ???

Below are the Photo's I took, when replacing the R by the Elco

I hope I replaced the right one !! B-)

As far as I know, only some Philips has these sound problems.

What I still don't know for 100% sure is,
do I need to change only R426 for the 8280, or the R428 & R429 too ???

I have no idea. Perhaps Bas can help with that.

Hi,

I have the exact same problem with my Philips NMS 8255 (maybe related, although the NMS8280 has some boards totally redesigned but a lot is similar probably, too).

All external sound sources prevent the internal PSG from being heard. See my thread about the Philips NMS-8255 power (?) supply question and modding (the later posts in the thread). I know It's not the MegaFlashRom cartridge since PSG can't be heard with a Konami SCC game cartridges either, and also I have an SVI728 which mixes correctly, to compare with (also the SVI728 has wrong resistor per default, which I've changed). Also, oddly, Philips PAC doesn't prevent the PSG from being heard, but is equally silent with PSG if I plug in the MegaFlashRom and the PAC at the same time.

Maybe there's sometimes some other errors on these Philips computers mixing circuit than those which have been described at Bas's site and on the MSX Info Pages?
