Mine also has some mods (oh hai Repair-Bas ) so I would not call mine exactly standard either
Just to be sure: Do you mean "resistor" in stead of "transistor" right? And I can just got line 49 and put two of them in between? And do you mean 2 or 3 Ohm, or 2,3KOhm? My electronica knowledge is buried way to deep
a "weerstand" is a dutch word for it, and the value?, i thought 2,3Ohm and you need the put 2 of them if you switch from slot, so slot 1 with this one and ofcourse also slot 2....
Ah, ok, een weerstand dus. En 1 voor slot 1 en 1 voor slot 2. Heb je misschien een wat duidelijkere foto? Dan is de waarde van de weerstand ook gelijk te controleren.
Ah, ok, A resistor. And 1 for slot 1 and 1 for slot 2. Do you happen to have a more clearer picture? Then we can check the resistor's value as well.
have taken another picture where you can clearly see things
i also have the same problem before, but i fix it like using 2 transistors (value 2,3 Ohm) from the pin 49 leg of the cart to the pcb, with good results!!
see link : http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto-NPHJDBPA.jpg : notice the red circle !!!._,
i remove this picture with a better one
The resistor is a 2200 Ohm (2.2KOhm) one btw.
With that resistor you can change the extern sound to lower soundlevel.
But the problem is with the Flash SCC+ cart, that the PSG is almost to a zero sound level.
Only with that cart, with a normal SCC cart everthing is perfect.
It looks like a the Flash cart uses the same adresses as the internal PSG.
Then you have a problem
As posted in http://www.msx.org/forumtopic11811p15.html, bartl68 fix works like a charm! But a new problems arose ;) When putting the Megaflashrom together with an FM-PAK in a slotexpander, the FM-PAK audio cannot be heard! Somehow the audio goes into the Megaflashrom SCC cart. This clearly is a problem with that cart. The same happens with a Philips Music module. Adding a resistor inside the cart should solve all these problems. I have yet to test the slotexpander/megaflashrom/fm-pak combo inside another MSX, but its a good change this problems happens with other MSX'es as well.
could be, but that's why i chose for a 3rd slot into my nms8255 instead of a slot expander
