I'm actually on an exhibition for 10 days. If you try the resistor installation inside the cart, would you be so kind to post a kind of tutorial or something like that with pictures? I'm gonna try that as sono as I'm back too, but I'm not that skilled in electronics repairs so that would be very handy for whom like me experience this issue.

I already did the mod in the cart, but with no effect on my Sanyo. I still hear the SCC sound very very low and when I use /P parameter both SCC and PSG are very low.
I used 22K 1/8W and 22K 1W but both had no effect. Any sugestions ?

Thanks,

Eeeh, the resistor is to make sure you hear the PSG from your MSX. Not to fix the sound output from the SCC (the resistor makes it even lower!).

But my problem is not with the PSG, I heard it loud and clear on all games tested so far, the problem is with this damned emulated SCC+ that has a very low sound. I also had an Sharksym MMC/SD drive and I have no such problems using this same machine. Something is definitely wrong with this cart...

P.S: I have put another resistor that I have in here and now I can listen the SCC, although the volume for it is still low..

Do you also have low volume with other carts (e.g. a real konami SCC or FM-PAK)? If not, its the cart, else it is your MSX.

The problem described here is about not hearing the PSG from your MSX itself when inserting this cart. If the problem persists when using a Konami SCC game and the /P option, then its another problem. Could be the cart, could be the MSX.

I never tested another sound card on my Sanyo. The only cartridges that I inserted on it with sound support was my MMC/SD interface (all games with and without SCC works great on it), the original cartridge "Goonies r' good enough" and the MegaFlash. The goonies I plugged on the last MSXRio event and have the same problem of the MegaFlash, no SCC sound.

Dantyr: Your problem seems like a problem with you MSX's mixing circuitry to me. See the fixes for SVI 728, SVI 739, Goldstar FC-200 floating around on the net. To make sure, you should test some Konami SCC games, as Creepy pointed out already. (and, if Goonies r' good enough" has SCC, that would also apply... of course since it's a "new" cartridge it could have a similar design issue as the MegaFlashROM).

Don't know which resistor to change for your model, though.

Thanks, guys! I'll look for those fixes on the net.
The only "real" SCC that I plugged on the Sanyo was the Yeongman Seo's MMC/SD drive and it works perfectly. No issues.
Difficult will be to find some original Konami SCC powered cartridges to test...

Thanks,
