Hi there, 2 years after my first MSX try (see newbie topic) i´m back and get this one;

img297.imageshack.us/img297/6994/msx21kk5.jpgimg297.imageshack.us/img297/8941/msx23jn3.jpg
img514.imageshack.us/img514/2793/msx22uj1.jpgimg257.imageshack.us/img257/6505/msx24zy1.jpg

Is this MSX good ? Any ideas what its worth ?
Everything works and the computer is in collectors condition & comes with additional stuff (see pictures)

Can i play every MSX Game with this Set ?

-Do jp Games run on a Pal Machine ?

This MSX is pretty good, I had the P version for years. However...
Normally, this MSX sucks, because it has only 64kB of RAM. You have an external 1024k memory mapper, which compensates for that (but it will take a slot).
The FM STEREO PAK will give you MSX-MUSIC. Nice.
The D version means you have a German keyboard. That could kind of suck, depending if you can get used to it. EDIT: ah, you are German. Then I guess it's perfect Tongue

You can play practically any MSX1 or MSX2 game with this set. You cannot play MSX2+ or MSXturboR games.

All Japanese games run on a PAL machine, except Metal Gear Japanese version.

EDIT: hey, I already answered this here: http://www.msx.org/forumtopic6335.html
EDIT2: oh, there it was still a Philips VG 8235.

cursors on top is not the worst problem... You really need to keep this keyboard clean, otherways you notice pretty fast, that keys do not work anymore. Cleaning is quite easy operation, but it fustrates everytime you notice a key that does not work.

aaahhhh
another SONY...

All Sonys (and their slow vdp... or is it the VRAM?) should be burnt Tongue

Usually those are the computers who cant stand several OUTs in a row without corrupting the display Tongue~

It should be a pretty good comp, but dont curse the games when some glitch appear here or there Tongue~

Of course that the games should be blamed: they have a slow VRAM access but within the standard limits. Therefore, it is the software that should take this fact into account.

Anyway, fab machine! Congratulations for it. GENLOCK is quite an interesting thing and you can also say that your equipment equals the computers used at the russian MIR space station Wink

Very nice machine. Atleast compared to my second MSX: Philips VG8235, the cheapest piece of shite MSX2 on the planet... Doesn't even have a working disk drive, you have two.
