Hi guys

Just received an MSX2 AX-370 this week (the Arabic one). I've got a Carnivore2 on the way but it's going to be quite some time before it gets here.

In the mean time I have a spare Gotek drive which was intended for one of my Amigas but never got used so figured I would use it in the AX370 to tide me over. Believe it currently has flash floppy installed.

First problem I can see is that this MSX doesn't appear to have a power connector for the Gotek drive. I'm assuming power is supplied on the 34 pin connector from the MSX.

I tried plugging it in without the power connected but the MSX fails to start with it connected.

Do I need a special cable to split out the power or is there some way of getting the gotek to receive power from the 34 pin cable.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated it.

You can have a look at this document i think you can have an idea of powering the Gotek. I have replaced broken floopy on my Wavy 70FD with PC one using this guide and it worked fine
