I have developed an adapter to connect a USB keyboard to a Philips NMS82xx. It supplies extra function keys, a help page by pressing F12 and debug features for the keyboard matrix and USB keycodes. The firmware can be updated through the micro USB connector. There is currently support for Dutch(US layout), German and French machines and keyboards. Italian and Spanish and perhaps Russian will follow soon. For info you can contact me. Not sure how to post photos here, but also see Facebook:

Can I get acquainted to any docs? I mean, user manual, schematics, sources etc. It is not clear how MSX can show smth when pressing F12 if it could not before. BIOS amended?
I can help with Russian, if needed. I already have my Philips NMS 8250 BIOS replaced with my custom ROM with all set.

Jeroen sold me a pair of this adapters. As the are on their way, I post some images that Jeroen had send me:

With Jeroen's permission, we will host the manuals in our download database in the future.
Nice project that will breath some 82x0 new life!

You can contact me by sending an email to j.taverne@gmail.com. The software has the scan code tables inside of US, German and French keyboards/machines. I used CBIOS as reference. This way it is able to automatically type text in ASCII like the helppage. No BIOS change required. I hope someone can test the German and French implementation for me. Russian I will try to add coming days.

I will try to get it also working for a Sony HB-F700P which is more complex, but I don't have the 13 pin connector yet.

I was working on this too some time ago and did some tests, but never got around to finishing it.
I think I have a spare connector somewhere, will search for it the coming days and let you know...

If sony interface is made to work, then same logic would be for pioneer px7 and yamaha yis-805, only pinout would be different.
