Greetings! I just became an MSX owner after picking one of these up on Craigslist.

I was wondering if anyone might know where I can buy a 'monitor' cable for it. The video output appears to be a MIDI plug, and I can't find the cable for sale anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

I think some CX5M models (there were several) could also be connected with an RF adapter. But the adapters are probably hard to find and I am not sure if they still work with modern TVs.

Regrettably mine is a version 1, so the output is 5 pin DIN. I also can't use SCART since I am in the US. I contacted the seller though! Maybe he can make me one.

Someone in vintage computer club (Facebook group) mentioned that the Commodore 64 might have used the same cable...can anyone confirm they are compatible?

If you can buy the connectors, you can make the cable yourself. If your TV has CVBS input, at least.

It would seem that I could use a cable from a VIC-20 or C64, right? As long as the MSX is not too picky about pin #1.
