This mention on Twitter is probably the source of msxholder, so only the concerned Japanese guy knows more. I don't have invented the 40MB size for example! Anyway, I don't have changed your text, and msxholder seems to be AFMRC....

Also it was 4 years ago and some things can have disappeared from the Net.

Here's the message I've received in 2018 from msxholder. Actually he transferred me a message from Sander van Nunen, MRC administrator, about another tweet:

http://www.msxblue.com/temp2/hc95h.png

The original tweet is here:

https://twitter.com/VolkswagenLove3/status/98077393227697356...

"Victor•JVC MSX 35th Anniversery Story

HC-9x models generation was
1st HC-95/90
2nd HC-95/90(A) ,some change
3rd HC-95/90(B) ,FDD changed
Last HC-95(T) ,handmade for some customers.

And most especially model was
HC-90(H) ,40MB HDD built in, for cable TV."

You can contact this Japanese guy for more info! Apparently, he was working at Victor.... see these 3 other tweets:

https://twitter.com/VolkswagenLove3/status/98116956188922265...

"Victor • JVC MSX 35th Anniversery Story At that time, I was also investigating overseas ATARI and Commodore. One day, a technician from ATARI came to Victor's headquarters and talked about his dream of connecting a video, recording device, and display to a PC. It wasn't long before I was told that it was Steve Jobs."

"Victor • JVC MSX 35th Anniversery Story I remember when the cherry blossom season came. The name of the MSX Manufacturers Association is Sakurakai. We gathered at the ASCII headquarters and reported on the number of shipments. The secretary of the turn is promised to bring tea confectionery. It was fun ^ ^"

"Victor•JVC MSX 35th Anniversery Story

Computer Model Naming are
HC-xx is “Home Computer”
BC-xx is “Business Computer”

BC-2800,3800,3850,4850,5000,7000,7500,9000 models are Character generator for broadcast
MSX software, “shamuneko” is a origin for business use."

He refers here to this software: https://www.generation-msx.nl/software/victor-co-of-japan-jv...

Conclusion: there is no reason to think that the HC-90/95H was only a prototype! So, I have updated the concerned wiki pages.

Thanks mars2000you for these details! Would it not be a good idea to include a summary of this in the wiki? I agree that, given this, there is reason to believe that the (H) model exists. But if it's not a prototype then why have we not seen any further independent confirmation of its existence? Who says that this one person on twitter doesn't misremember? Note that the NMS8260 reference does not mention the (H) model. So it seems to be a bit much to state the existence of an (H) model with 40MB hard disk "for cable tv" (again - what does that even mean?) as a fact without further explanation.

I am sorry but you are stating it as fact in the wiki, not me. Why do I need to prove what you state as fact?

For the rest, too many details on the Wiki will make it unreadable. Your comments about NMS 8260 bios seem me also exaggerated and pure speculation. I am almost regretting to have given a detailed answer, as you are never happy. Next time someone will maybe answer you, but it will not be me.

You don't even considered that this guy worked at Victor headquarters. Your doubts are more important. End of discussion for me. Bye.

I don't understand your reaction, can we not discuss this topic without getting angry? And should a wiki not be evidence-based? I think the link with the NMS8260 is important because it's the only solid evidence we have of JVC working on an HC95 with hard disk. Furthermore I did not delete the claim of existence of HC95(H) with hard disk, I only stated that it is what it is (i.e., a claim). If we want to state that this model exists for sure, then we need further independent confirmation, such as photos, written material from JVC, or at least multiple people who can confirm it. If we want to have useful information about the HC95(H) in the wiki, then we should include all information that we have (such as what you wrote in your longer message above). It could even be a separate article? Anything better than simply claiming it as a fact while there is no justification to do so.

I've added a 'HELP' paragraph, that's a mix of some arguments pro and con. Unfortunaly, this guy can't be contacted via Twitter (option not available).

You know, it's like the professional software used with the Sony HB-G900, I doubt we will ever see just a picture. Abandoned professional hardware/software is often simply destroyed. It's sad, but it's like that.

PS: this is not about my personal doubts or your personal conviction about the matter. The wiki should provide accurate information. Example: the reason why I edited the page was this: last week I was reading the HC-95 wiki page and I saw the statement about the HC-95(H), which was new to me. I got interested and thus I searched for further information. Then it turned out that there is no information whatsoever about this model, and that there is no proof of existence. No photos, no documentation, no advertisements, nothing. Just one single claim on twitter, and the interesting link with the NMS8260. That's why I decided to edit the wiki, just to make it more accurate, and to make sure that other people won't fall into the same trap. I don't understand why this offends you.
