I don't think so.

It would be nice if the creator of OpenMSX implement this functionality in future versions, because there are people who prefer the arrow keys on the right side, like me.
All MSX computers have 4 arrow keys on the right side of the keyboard.

Yes, but all game consoles have the D-pad on the left side...

(So, for larger devices like tablets, this does not really apply, so I understand your request.)

Note that this feature request is more something for the SDL for Android developer... this is implemented there. So we depend on him.

Hi, this feature already exists. The SDL Android developer (pelya) already thought about it :-)

Here is how to change the position of the virtual joystick and other buttons:

  • Start openmsx
  • Tap the "Change device configuration" button on the SDL splash screen (it is visible for 3 seconds)
  • Tap the "On-screen keyboard" button
  • Tap the "On-screen keyboard size" button
  • Tap the "Custom" button at the bottom of the list. You might need to scroll down to see it, depending on the size of your screen
  • Move and resize the buttons to your liking
  • Tap "BACK" when done
  • Tap the "OK" button at the bottom of the list
  • Tap the "OK" button at the bottom of the list

Now openMSX will start with the customized button sizes and positions

If you want to restore the original positions, then you must again choose the "Change device configuration" button on the SDL splash screen, navigate to "On-screen keyboard" , followed by "On-screen keyboard size" and then choose one of the pre-defined options

Thank you very much Alex.
Tested on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0" and works!
