Hi all,
I'm having some issues with some games, specifically King and Balloon and Firehawk.
the first one i can't press space to start the game; I tried another namcot game (Tank Battalion), which works fine.
FIrehawk tells me that it is not a boot disk and won't start.
Any advice?
Thanks

Firehawk:
How did you flash the DSK files? If you flashed them in sequence without the proper option, you might have flashed disk 2 over disk 1.
The right way to flash is:
opfxsd disk1.dsk /D1
opfxsd disk2.dsk /D2
If that does not work, maybe try another copy.

I used SofaRunIt with the command SRI disk1.dsk disk2.dsk, I also tried the concatenate method.
I will try to flash them with opfxsd
Also the DSK files have the right checksum, but I will try different files for reference.
Thank you.

If you want to run a multi disk game using sofarun, you'd better concatenate it indeed. He uses runit.com for it, which requires it. I'm not too familiar with sofarun, but it seems logical it still works like that.
Best done on a pc.
copy /b disk1.dsk+disk2.dsk bothdisk.dsk

I tested with my MegaFlashRom SCC + on Panasonic A1-WX and it works well.

I used MultiMente with the Flash-Disk (Press Graph on the DSK File), which with DSK Emulator (select the Files with space and press Enter).

It always works well.

Check the DSK file. If you see "Not a boot disk"... That is the second disk

Do the dsk files run on an emulator?

Sorry, I didn't explain myself well

The MFR with MultiMente can use 2 DSK loading methods.

First (directly from SD card)

Select the files with the space key

Hit Return Key

A NEXT_DSK.DAT file is created that reads the DSKs directly from the SD-Card when the msx starts.

Second (Flash DSK on MFR)

Move the cursor to the files and press "GRAPH" key

Press 1 or 2...9 (Number disk position on the flash)

The file DSK is Flashed

Repeat for all disk image

The first method is faster, the second method has greater compatibility

You can give multiple disk games different extensions as well.
FD1 for disk 1
FD2 for disk 2
...
FD9 for disk 9
and let multi mente handle them as such in mm_ret.dat. That way you know that an FD2 image always gets flashed to disk 2's slot in the flashrom.

I tried out on emulatore and gives me same result, but I think sonethinf went wrong with the english patch because the same dsks but unpatched worked.
