It's most of the time most convenient to defeat the level bosses with angry or happy emotions. If you try to do that level with "Cles" when he's angry, you can dodge the flames by rolling under them. Perhaps you can even destroy the flames in that case. Other good option is to use "Wit" when he's happy and use his double jump.

Run into a Japanese sign... You need the emotion printed on the boss door to open that door...

Emotions are in order: Joy, anger, sorrow and humor. The fifth door in a level is the temple.

And it is good practice to play a level by leaving the either the first or second as the last before entering the temple.

Also note that you only need to open the door to the boss with the correct emotion, but once it's open you can get another emotion in the same stage that is more to your liking. Hope that helps...

I upgraded to maximum, but from the point where I've saved the only solution was to collect about 300 coins to heal myself during the final battle. There was no way to find better weapon/emotion in the 4th tower, and previous ones were already destroyed. Luckily, I found at least a place with endless coins in this tower.
