Valis 2 patches based on different SHA-1 checksums

Thanks to FRS, Manuel Pazos and Theo Wilderbeek we can improve Valis 2 gameplay quite a lot thanks to their patches. While it would be wonderful to be able to apply both of them, I have notice that each one is based on different SHA-1 checksums; so I think they are based on different disks.

Taking a look at their readme files I can see the following:
FRS patch SHA-1 checksums:

SHA1(VALIS2A.DSK)= f9523acb436548cb28816975f4420d79348e6085
SHA1(VALIS2B.DSK)= ff6c49ba7431459ec46db240470b1bad6fec889b
SHA1(VALIS2D.DSK)= 9da06782e01dba621d131e1c874e886ad559680f

English patch SHA-1 checksums:

9c05a8ea55fe6a3813219d7568da50c2e8f4ef4c *valis2-1.dsk
43c12ee91407255e4f69c3d9195df3e778532d0c *valis2-2.dsk

So I wonder: which SHA-1 is the true original master disk? Which one should we use? If someone has the original disks in working condition it would be nice if he could do an image a post the SHA-1 checksum.

Heh, interesting. The ones I had were:

Where O vs C is Original vs Cracked, where he removed the copy protection. These seem to match with what FRS used as a base.

Bear in mind that the English SHA-1 checksums are from the patched disks.

Probably, any version will be fine for patching it to English, since most of the disk is modified.
SHA-1 of disk 1 might be different due to saved game data.

FRS and English patches are not compatible. But @Victor has made a new patch that combines both, and also adds more improviments. I expect it to be published soon.

On Twich, AnnK_ is playing the ENglish version and then patched with FRS's patch. She said that things are OK after changing clothes to something different than the pajamas. Are there other issues when the patches are combined?

Hi Manuel,

I checked the streaming and it's no possible to check FRS IPS is working because she is not using Turbo R mode; when you use Turbo R with this patch, the scenes are very fast. But in the streaming the interlude scenes are slow as original game. Do you notice any FRS improved in the streaming?

She is using the turboR. But for disk D, she moved to the disk without the FRS patch, because it hung up.
