I would be interested....but since seller does not accept paypal i will not consider it.

Paypal IS a safe way to buy from ebay and the fact that seller says "There's no way to accept PAYPAL since isn't a secure way to get the money. I would provide my IBAN and SWIFT " i have many suspicions towards these kind of statements. Many lamers prefer iban and things like western union bank transfers. But there is no guarantee you will ever get any item from them.
With paypal there is the resolution center and the dispute center.
So what kind of guarantee do i have that if i use iban that i will get the item? There is nothing to protect the buyer.

Beware.

Let me answer you n00b. Try this:

1.- Buy an item anywhere and pay with PAYPAL
2.- Receive the item before 30 days.
3.- Then go to your bank, say that this operation must be cancelled and take your money back, quite easy, uh?
4.- Shit on the seller, since he will see how his money disappear from his PAYPAL ACCOUNT (as you know, clever man, PAYPAL delays on purpose the way you get the money to your bank account).

WOW! What a secure way to sell & buy! If there's any trouble you just need to go to PAYPAL RESOLUTION CENTER and make a complain where the buyer will shit on! OMG it's so easy and cool!

Man, you better have some experience on PAYPAL before you talk.

Don't call me newbie.I am not.

My 100% ebay positive feedback as buyer ensures that i am a legit person.

There are many people that i have bought cartridges here and computers in this forum and i have used paypal.

You can specify different actions like that you will not receive money from people that do not have 100% feedback.I would never do something like this to any seller as i respect the kind of trade that happens between people. And i see no reason to receive something that i have not paid for.And doing this kind of stealing is beyond me.

Regarding iban ,excuse me but there is no way that i am covered if you as a seller decide to take my money and send me nothing.

You as seller if you have the receipt from the post office and you can prove that you posted the items then the fraud person that tried to do something like that to you would have problem.

Have you considered searching it?

Also paypal does not allow a person as a buyer to always go and cancel the purchasments.

It is as a measure against those people that you say.In other words paypal dispute center does not allow someone to always go and cancel payments, you can do it once and for specific reasons.

My idea is to only accept bids from people you know that they can be trusted. If you see 0% feedback or negatives you have the right not to accept it.

What you say is properly in a fairy tale.

I am not talking about cancelling the transaction in PAYPAL, where you obviously have some limitations, but in the bank, where you can do what you want.

I am talking from an scamm I suffered in a transaction, since that day (when PAYPAL didn't really helped) I can't take PAYPAL.

And yes, you can check my profile on EBAY and see that I have more than 100 positives, but wait, now the sellers are not protected on EBAY since they cannot vote negative, so how can you distinguish honest people from others? From my experience I offered a full return for an item only for not having a negative vote, but the buyer preffered a vendetta against me. This man was 100% positives.

Do I deserve that people like you think that I am a scammer because of negatives and for banning PAYPAL?

Morg you are right into this.Ebay is not good anymore since it doesn't protect the seller. It's not paypal though. It's ebay's fault.Maybe if you asked for the potential buyers to wait shipment till the payment is cleared? That way you take your money from the buyer and you send it to them.Your positive 100% state would help you do that.People trust people that are 100% positive.

You're right, you can normally trust people who has 100% positives is, but unfortunately there are a lot of assholes out there on Ebay who complain and vote negative for anything (despite some sellers agree to vote each other to bury their negatives).

I don't want to be annoying, but I would remind you to take care with Paypal... Since the buyer is able to cancell the transaction, not from Paypal itself, but from his bank, and you would never receive the money.

About the IBAN I know it's quite lame giving such a personal information, but a part of Paypal, there's any other option to make cheap international payments? I think that Google Checkout still is not, so...

Finally I sold the OCM to Retrotechie through Ebay. Despite the IBAN matter everything is ok for both of us.

Anyway I am considering coming back to the evil PAYPAL... unfortunately it's the only fu**ing way some people like to pay on Ebay. God damnit they have a good bussines selling false-security.

Morg: well, the proper place to complain about that is at paypal.com, isn't it? Face it, PayPal is widely accepted as a means of electronic payment, just like Windows is a widely accepted operating system. And let's face it, that's not completely right either. Point being, there's a lot of bad excuses in this world, a lot of which poor individuals can't do anything about. Let's live with it.
