I'm looking for YMF278 with YRW801 or MoonSound cartridge. Thank you.

I can provide all the components needed for YMF278 and MoonSound.

The chip on that WozBlaster says YMF268-F… shouldn’t it be YMF278B-F?

According to some Japanese guys, the YMF268-F is also OPL4 chip that is pin-compatible with YMF278. But the differences are unknown. And there's no datasheet for this chip, at least I could not find any.

may be differences are subtle enough like between OPP and OPM though (where OPP doesn't have a datasheet available in public as well)

On the boards with this chip I only saw 512kb of SRAM, maybe this is the difference - the chip is unable to use more than 512kb. This is just a guess though.

The CT1724 might indicate it was purpose built for Creative Technology for use on one of their Sound Blaster sound cards (who all have similar CT type numbers).

It's not that YMF268 can only support 512KB SRAM. It's just that the SRAM pad of my PCB has been damaged, and the second 512KB SRAM cannot be soldered temporarily. To be honest, SRAM has many counterfeit or damaged chips, which led me to replace it many times.
