Okay, I just uploaded a new version of the emulator, 0.92, with some improvements:

Fixed:
+ finally removed ALL ROMs (v0.91 had system ROMs still included)
+ scrolling file lists for cartridges and disks
+ long file names are displayed "correctly"
+ ROM and DATA directories created from install SIS
+ only those machine types can be emulated that have existing system ROMs

Added:
+ keyboard config
+ disk support (uncompressed & gzipped images work, gzipped disks are read-only)
+ manual rom mapper selection for cartridges
+ icon

Still to-do:
- multidisk/disk change support
- screen rotation (routines implemented but not included yet, I want to optimize a bit)
- sound

Note that now just by installing the emulator you cannot start the emulation because no system ROMs are included.

Is the emulator also w/ the Nokia 7250(i) compatible?
Or what are the requirements for the emu?

No, it only works on phones based on the Series 60 platform because the emulator is a native Series 60 application written mostly in C++ language.

Currently available/published Nokia phones utilizing the Series 60 platform are the 7650, the 3650, the 6600 and the N-Gage. There are also phones published (but not yet available) from other manufacturers based on the Series 60 platform such as Siemens SX1 and Samsung SGH-D700.

Well, buy the 3650 instead. It has external MMC for datastorage. I tell you, that's VERY useful......The 7650 has a better joystick though.....Sigh....

Not quite... but soon.

I spent some time today with the sound support for the emulator, btw. Got some results but I have to figure out a good way to synchronize the sound generator which is a bit tricky because of the way the Symbian OS Media Server works... I'll try to think of something =)

Maybe next time my phone will get a MMC Wink

Oh yes, I'm not sure wheter I'm just stupid Tongue
But how can I 'eject' a ROM, so I can start disk-images?

I don't know, the information is not available I guess... and anyway user mode code does not have access to the DSP hardware so you are limited to what is offered by the Media Server.

Sorry for the lack of documentation, I havent spent any time on doing it Crying

To eject a ROM cartridge or disk image, press the "clear" key on the main menu over the cartridge/disk you wish to eject.
