We can't moderate things that "float around on the internet". Without doubt, we know names, we know the usual suspects, but whatever happens beyond MRC is also beyond us. We can moderate trolling, namecalling etc., the obvious stuff. But a totalitarian regime in which we decide about even your private life and thoughts beyond MRC is not what we want to become, it's certainly not a responsibility I want to have.

I fully realize this is a nasty problem though. It's ye olde saying: with great freedom comes great responsibility. Obviously not all of us can deal with that..

My only wish is that Kralizec back and resume their activities, that is a very sad to leave.

This topic in itself is unfortunate, but once done wrong, that solution exists?
Kralizec would return in some form or condition?

I only wish peace for all

Amen to that Dreamerm42!

@Wolf: Yeah, I know and I fully understand MRC's position in this. I just hate the idea that some people use this forum that I love so much and visit every day to intentially damage others.

Lets all just Running Naked in a Field of Flowers...

My thought. Someone from Brazil to hacked the rom, and after insulting Kralizec game, that someone is so stupid and hypocrite who betrays his own comments and gives a link to download the rom. I just hope there is also other pirates attacked and completely destroyed the site with rom.

Well... I understand wolf_'s point of view. Some things that happen cannot be moderated through MRC. However, information about the existence of such crack has been given several times in this forum. And many things that have happened in the MRC forums resulted on people leaving the scene. And these things do not come from "the community", but from certain individuals. It is easy to see who is responsible just by looking the recently "locked" topics and why they were locked. IMHO, something has to be done. Locking topics is not enough, as the same people responsible for locking old topics opens new ones (or forces someone to open them, like in this case) or just continue with their behavior in other topics. That is: there are some individuals here that damage the MSX scene. And being this an MSX forum, MRC has to do something, like banning these users.

Well... wolf_, great power and great responsibility, yes, but I think that a "Castlevania" quote is more approppriate: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing". So: do something, please.

There's nothing to do, MrSpock: you can ban an used based on personal insults or missbehaviour, for example, but you can't do that because you suspect (or even know) that user has cracked a game! That's crazy Big smile

Do you guys want to be in a forum where users are banned because admins suspect they dumped or cracked anything?
I, for one, don't want to. It's not even a security problem, but remember: those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.

And we, as an aftermarket computer community, should have open minds beyond those who want to tell us what we can dump or crack.

My point is: MrSpock, you can approve that a fellow MRC user cracks or dumps anything, or you can consider it an immoral act, but no one deserves to be banned for that. We are an alternative computers community
We use the net on obsolete computers from the 80's, we play on them, expand them waaaaaay further than they creators even imagined...we are a bunch of hackers, so to say!

What's next? Banning users because we suspect you download cracked games? Best to close the forums then Tongue

ban is pointless as the user can promptly open another account and troll all over again. The best thing to do is: don't feed the trolls.
