helo im wondering if somebody tried /tested his usb game reader of ascii with external msx hardware like sony digitzer or musicmodule or ide interface or other cartridges.. and does it works??

I believe it doesn't work coz the reader lacks +/- 12volt...

Easy to fix.

But, really any electronics use 12V??.

I think it only reads ROM

Yes, it basically only downloads the ROM contents and uses it in the emulator. It is able to use the sound pin from the cartridge as well, but AFAIK that is not used yet in any software (i.e. MSX PLAYer).

I'm not sure about the last one, as the SCC sounds quite frigging good on MSXPLAYer+USB game reader. I'll try if I can confirm this. But euhm, elements, didn't you ask this question (one or two times) before?

yes sorry snout.... but i thought i didnt got an answer about this question..
i see the usb gamereader dont need a powersupplier or im wrong?? i would like to buy this item secondhand..im really doubt its worthfull for me or i buy a secondhand msx turbo-r.
im wondering also if the megarom flash catridge can be used in this ascii gamereader..

i hope sunrise is still bringing out an usb gamereader for the european market..

Yeah, and it would get REALLY interesting if you could use an actual SCC or FM-PAC in an emulator....

otherwise it's more of a showoff. Almost like putting an usb cable into a msx cartridge, firing up an emulator with the same game and claiming it runs the actual cart.
