Thank you!
I have a few questions about the IDE-CF: first, does someone tried to use the modern > 1Gb CF cards with the IDE-CF ?
Also I know that there is required a disk drive to use it, but I suppose that this because it is needed to establish the partition, format them and mark one of them as bootable. Suppose that I have an MSX2 with diskdrive and make all these things to obtain a bootable CF card. If just plug the IDE-CF card with the bootable card into an MSX2 without drive, will the computer boot from the card and work with it just like any other MSX2 ?
In my Sony F700+Sunrise IDE+IDE2CF adaptor, 1Gb CF work fine, using 2 partitions, 32Mb Fat12 as boot and the the rest in FAT16.

Yes it will
Do not forget to copy MSXDOS2.SYS and COMMAND2.COM after your partition is BOOTABLE.

I think it's a bad idea.
Sunrise IDE hasn't good software for execute .dsk file images.
(start.com and others) try to load megal gear 2(disk version), pricess maker, and many others (that use these boot disk format.....)
Mega-Scsi and MMC/SD-Reader has the best software(at the moment) for emulating .dsk and it works fine(metal gear 2,princess maker,etc....).
(sorry for my english)
It is a very strange assumption that dsk's legal or illegal has to do with the software of the ide itself. We simply donot supply it.
And blame us for those programs that doesnot function isnot correct
Hi hansO

All external mappers(not only Padial mapper ) has the same problem with TurboR computers. Armando "Ramones" fixed the problem with "memtr.com".

And it works fine without slot expander, I've tested it

You can see a Leonardo Padial 4mb mapper working with a MegaSCSI, loading mg2(disk version)and it works fine.

I don't think usuario is blaming anybody, just stating his opinion that he thinks that the available software isn't good at executing .dsk images. (whoever the software is made by)
Received a Padial 4Mb memory expansion card. It's superb! I am using it with my A1 WSX.
