Diskdrive problems!

I have a 8245 computer and it’s drive has serious problems. Sometimes it reads a file, sometimes it doesn’t. When I load something it often replies with a disk offline error message. Trying over and over again does sometimes work. What can I do?

Replace the drive belt!

Thanks! Is there a manual to do this? Already orded a 8245 drive belt (to my suprise I could buy one at a classic computer webshop).

Replaced the drivebelt, cleaned the heads with alcohol but still the same problem. Sometimes the drive loads a small program, sometimes it doesn’t. Often I can use the “files” command and the computer lists the programs, but when I try to load a program all I get is a “disk offline” error.

New drive placed, but the computer still has “Disk offline” errors. Not as many as before, but still too many. Today I send the 8245 to http://www.bas-ditta.info/. Hopefully he finds to problem.
