Hi folks, since the tsunami destroyed my MSX Turbo-R, I've just been left with the box sitting here. I had kept it in the hope that maybe I'd get a new machine. In the end, I've decided to sell nearly all my games (all my MSX games are already gone), so does anybody have an idea as to how much it's worth. I'm sure someone will want it, I'd rather not just throw it out. I'll only ship it within Japan though.

First of all let me wish everything goes better in that Japan area and normality returns very soon (easy to say). About your post, how much ¥3000~¥5000? I think it depends of the person itself anyway I'm sure soon or later someone will pay for it. You could add an e-mail in your MRC profile so anyone could send an offer to you as well. Please don't leave MSX anyway as far as possible!.

Hello Magic Knight. I too am sorry for what has happened in Japan and I hope that you and your family are able to recover from it soon. The last time I visited Japan I saw some of the areas that were hit by the Tsunami and what they had looked like before and it's terrible what happened.

I'm sure that you'll find an interested buyer, I'm sure even some of us here might be interested as well if you were able to ship outside of Japan, but I would follow PAC's advice and simply leave an email or contact information for offers. For finding the value, I'd look at what some of the Yahoo Auctions prices are for MSX Turbo R with the Box and find out how much more value it goes for over just a MSX Turbo R machine by itself and that should give you some kind of price indication for how valuable it is. I agree though, I think you could get 3000 - 5000 yen for it easy depending on the condition.

Thanks to you both, 3000 to 5000 sounds great, I only paid 1500 for it including the working machine. I might try putting it on Yahoo Auctions, I can't imagine anyone on here would want it, there can't be too many members in Japan. Thanks again!

MagicKnight,

I, like our friends above, wish the best for all the people who were affected by that horrible tragedy that struck Japan. Life goes on and you deserve to have your life back to normal.

Would you mind showing us some pics? I myself am interested, pity that you're not going to ship it outside japan... And even if you don't think anyone here from Japan would be interested, I think that it might worth a try...

Please let me know if you change your mind: tvalenca at gmail dot com

To be honest I think it's too much trouble, so I'm just going to bring it to the recylcling centre. Thanks anyway.

Ok, no problem. But I have a FS-A1WX with box but without the polystyrene inserts, and since they're phisically very similar that would be a GREAT opportunity to make my package complete.

About the BOX itself, there is someone here in Brazil making perfect replicas of these boxes (but not whe polystyrene inserts, most brazilian models and not only MSX... but he already have for Panasonic A1FX/WX/ST... check at http://www.casadosnerds.com.br/?page_id=642, portuguese only)

But If you still think it is too much of a trouble, I won't inssist. Thanks anyway.
