Reading this thread, did anyone actually figure out why does the transistor cause erroneous / glitched readings?
I own two KM-Tech adapters, using a BC547 (I ordered these back in 2016, before I knew of the problems...). I can confirm I get occasional erroneous readings, and was thinking maybe swapping a BC550 in their place (which cost practically nothing and are easily available) would work more properly, in case this is a noise / bounce issue? Can a transistor cause signal bouncing?
Of course I could order the known-and-confirmed adapters (or put in some NC7ST04...).
Is anyone still making/selling these (the recommended version)?
