Nope it's completely different
There is no motor start/stop signal..

yes there is
on an MSX tapedeck the small black cable handles the autostop/start of the cassette
on a philips msx tapedeck (and others) you will see three holes next to eachother

Yes I know, but his cable has a 3.5mm stereo jack on one side; and 2x 3.5mm mono on the other....
It's missing the MSX interface plug completely.

as it says in the ad
its for Spectrum 3 so it seems
